ughh

so I've been horrible these past couple weeks not going to the gym or working out and I don't even want to know what my weight is. I hope its still in the lower 220s. I feel terrible for not going and haulting my weightloss because it was going so well. I'd LOVE to go today but why does it seem life always gets in the way...I used to put the gym second because well my baby is always first but right after her I'd go.

Time for the comparison

So I took my first set of pictures at 230lbs that's after losing 10lbs. I decided to take another set once I lost 10 more pounds so here you go. I couldn't find the other tank top I was wearing so I wore a different one however this one seems more clingy. The top photos were my first set bottom are current. To me it just looks like I lost a lot of boob, UGH I want my boobs! lol

On a better note I haven't been to the gym or getting a good workout since a week ago ACK! So I will be hitting the gym hard all this week!

20lbs

I have reached my 20lb weight loss goal! About 83lbs to go until my ultimate goal. This week for the gym has been HORRIBLE! I'm surprised I lost any weight at all. We only got to go once this week and that was Monday. Today is picture day and I have to get those done at some point today so we can all look and see if there are any changes. So stay tuned for those.

New goal.

So I've decided to add the 20lb loss to my goals..I figure why not that is a good milestone to hit so there added! 3lbs until I hit my 20lb loss and until I take my comparison photos! Looks like it will be in two weeks I'm thinking I will be down 21lbs then but ah well.

Forgot!

I forgot to spread the goodnews! I am now 223lbs offically under my normal "fat" weight. We are getting close to my next goal. Getting to my pregnancy weight of 218lbs, just 5lbs to go!

At my "normal" weight

Well my "normal" fat weight that is. All of my adult life I've been between 225 lbs - 230 lbs. I am at the smaller end of those. 225lbs I am! That is a total 15lb loss! Meaning I have just reached my 15lb loss goal! Many more to go but I am just 7lbs shy of my pregnancy weight. That is pretty exciting. I think once I am at 210lbs I will take another set of progress pictures :)

Gym

Well I didnt end up making it to the gym yesterday..or wednesday. So I plan on hitting it hard today, tomorrow and possibly sunday. I'm not wanting those pounds to cone back on. I feel really lazy not going.

Over 45,000

If one pound equals 3,500 calories then being 13lbs lighter I have burnt over 45,000 calories in the time I've been working out...that is craziness! How many have you all burnt?

Thursday

    The Thursday weigh-in. Well that's not so true I kind of step on the scale whenever and sometimes it isn't exactly 7 days since the last weight in but whateverrr. So last post I believe I said I was at 229lbs. Then I checked a day or so later and was back at 230lbs. Now this morning I'm at 227lbs so I will take that! Whoop Whoop. I missed the gym yesterday too and went for a walk instead. Hitting the gym HARD today!
   **According to my ticker I have lost 2.1% body fat that is AWESOME!!!!**

Doctor Oz

Anyone watch? I ususlly on catch it on at the gym. I went on the website to check things out. There was this article about losing weight if you have a big belly or big butt. It was called "The Body type Diet: Solutions for a big belly or big butt." I have a big belly so certain parts of it stuck out. It said those with a big belly are insulin resistant, WHAT!? That's me, that's me! I have a "hunter" body according to this article.

It also mentioned a supplement named Chromium Polynicotinate. This is what WebMD.com had to say about it.

Chromium is a metal. It is called an “essential trace element” because very small amounts of chromium are necessary for human health.

Chromium is used for improving blood sugar control in people with prediabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and high blood sugar due to taking steroids.

It is also used for depression, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), lowering “bad” cholesterol, and raising “good” cholesterol in people taking heartmedications called beta blockers.

Some people try chromium for body conditioning including weight loss, increasing muscle, and decreasing body fat. Chromium is also used to improve athletic performance and to increase energy.

So I'm thinking hmmm I like the sound of this supplement...it may even mean me getting off of metformin for my insulin resistance and PCOS, but who knows exactly how long you can take this for and at what dose. I think this will be something to ask my doctor about.

Just for the hell of it

I weighed myself yesterday just to see. I was expecting to be up a pound instead I was a pound lighter! I don't count the .0s on the scale just the numbers before it :P So I was back in the 220s. 229lbs to be exact but I can't wait to see 228lbs at the end of the week EXCITED! Once I hit 225lbs that will be around what I used to weigh...I want to get wayy past that.

The DREADED Pics

Here I am in all my glory gross-ness! These are the best pics I could get with my built-in web cam on this lap top. I look absolutely horrendous. This is me at 230lbs after losing 10lbs. I am not sucking anything in in these pictures so it is all me. I thought about taking the pics in just my sports bra but I figured I would save all of your eyes. Let this be my motivation to leave all of that behind.

Back to the daily grind

Of waking up early taking care of the baby and waiting for the hubs to get home to hit the gym. I went over my calories yesterday so I need to burn a little extra today. I believe today is legs day. After my last actual work out Friday, Saturday morning I felt really sore around where I had my c section a year ago. I don't do any ab workouts..not yet at least I want to loose some f the weight in my mid section first. So it was odd to me that I was sore in that specific spot.

10lbs

So I've reached my 10lb weight loss goal!! According to my ticker I have 92lbs to go to get to my ultimate goal 132lbs. I just want to be able to fit into the cute gym clothes. Wear those cute little tops and shorts. So if I lose about 10lbs a month I should get there in about 9 months...not too bad. Kind of hoping it'd be a bit sooner ah well the goals are set. I'm kind of surprised I still lost the 2lbs without going to the gym today yet and I missed the gym Wednesday BUT I'm making it up on Saturday.

Working on it

I'm going to work on getting a some pictures of my body a 360 view to track progress. Does anyone have an exercise ideas for shaping your butt? I can't really do any squats or lunges because I have bad knees but I thought I'd ask..maybe one of you have my same issue.

Weight

     I've been overweight as long as I can remember. I partially blame it on my parents who introduced me to soda and all these sugary and horribly lovely tasting snack foods. I got myself off of soda when I was older but I remember drinking it a lot as a child. I now drink water and that is my drink of choice.

     So my parents aren't the only people I can blame. The other would be my body, hormones to be a bit more exact. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and insulin resistance so any sugar ingested deposits as fat which again would contribute to me being overweight. Upon starting my getting fit journey I had an appointment with my OB/GYN and I had a BMI of 39.9 at 240lbs, just one point away from being clinically morbidly obese. Yeah, not liking that term. Fast forward to now...I am 232lbs, 8lbs down and 2lbs to go to reach my 10lb loss goal.

     I have never one to go the fruit and veggie route and I know that isn't a good thing. I just can't stand the taste of them, I was never a great eater..I'm still not but I am eating less and counting calories. I diet really isn't for me. I go to the gym 5 days a week for two hours at a time. I start with cardio for 40 - 45 minutes and switch to the weight machines and end with about 10 minutes of cardio. I ultimately want to get down to 132lbs. The last time I weighed that I think I was still considered overweight because I was a lot shorter, haha but I would like to be at a "normal" weight for once!

I'm down...

This is what 5lbs of fat looks like
6lbs and have finally reached my 5lb loss goal! Now I'm onto my 10lb loss goal only 4lbs to go! As far as how I look I don't really see too much of a difference. I wish I could take some whole body pics of myself, BUMMER. BUT it looks like my face may be thinning out and my legs look slightly thinner. Lets keep this fat loss train going!
